Installation precautions for FAKRA cables

Cleaning cable end: Before connecting the connector, use a specialized cleaning agent and wiping cloth to clean the inner and outer conductor surfaces of the cable end, remove oil, dust, and oxide layers, and ensure good electrical connection.

Correct wire stripping: Use a wire stripper to accurately strip the outer skin and insulation layer of the cable end according to the specifications of the connector, taking care not to damage the inner and outer conductors.

Ensure secure connection: After inserting the cable into the connector, use a crimping tool or torque wrench to crimp or tighten the connector according to the specified torque value, ensuring a secure and reliable connection between the connector and the cable.

Be well protected: After the termination is completed, the connector can be protected with heat shrink tubing or waterproof glue to prevent moisture, dust, etc. from entering the interior of the connector and affecting the connection performance.

Test after installation

Electrical performance testing: Use professional testing instruments such as network analyzers, impedance analyzers, etc. to conduct electrical performance testing on the installed FAKRA cables, including testing of characteristic impedance, insertion loss, return loss, and other parameters to ensure that all parameters meet standard requirements.

Functional testing: Connect the device with FAKRA cable installed to the corresponding system of the car for functional testing, such as checking whether the car navigation, entertainment system, communication system, etc. can work normally, whether the signal transmission is stable, and whether there is distortion, interference, and other phenomena.
